It’s a fantastic plug in, but since upgrading to version 0.51a I’m getting a couple of significant issues.

    1) Portrait images always appear at full size in their thumbnail form, that is only landscape pictures become thumbnails ok, but the portrait shots just don’t work.

    2) The title text doesn’t appear in the Thickbox pop up.

    Aside from that everything’s cool.

Does anyone else have these problems?

When I create an album view, clicking a gallery does not result in viewing that gallery. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

    Example: http://www.mireilleschaap.nl/blog/?page_id=7

    I’m using NextGEN Gallery 0.51a

Btw, it’s really a very cool plugin, I really appreciate it!

Thank you very much your plugin is great.
There is just a little problem in the new version, uploading images already on the server or scan for images is the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: ngg_thumbnail in /home/novochurch/kk-church.ru/docs/wp-content/plugins/nggallery/admin/addgallery.php on line 397

Thanks for this plugin. I think it’s one of the most interesting gallery plugins seen recently.

One single issue for me: i’m using K2 theme fro WP with sidebar modules. You included a widget. Would you mind to include also a module for the sidebar? Or at least some primitive functions usable to show random pictures on the sidebar…

is there any speciel procedure to update this plugin or is it just a matter of overwriting the old versions files on the server ?

I am loving this plugin, when I get it to work – which I have managed once so far, on one blog. However, now I can’t get it to work on that blog nor my other blog. My host has apparently set the servers to safe-mode, I use a .htaccess (just in case that might matter at all..), WordPress 2.2, and I believe the most current version of NGG available on wordpress.org – just so you know the environment I am using it in.

Now, the problem is that when I click on “Scan Folder for new images”, one of three things happens, usually the first: I get a blank white page; I get a blank white page under the WordPress menu at the top of the page; or I get an internal server error (500). I have also tried uploading one and one image, to no avail. I even used SQL to manually add a couple of lines of image info to the pictures table, which made them show up under Manage Gallery, but upon clicking the Scan button (to get the rest of the images), the same problems occurred. Those problems also occurred when I tried to create thumbnails out of those I had manually added.

I apologize for the length of this comment post, but I wanted to explain as detailed as possible. Hope you can help, as I really would like to continue using this marvelous plugin!

mh, have you set the permission for thumbs and picture folder correct ?

  12. Man says:

My apologies, I completely neglected to notice there is a forum. I will head there now!
