After 5 years my Powershot S2 IS goes into retirement. I’m very happy with my first digital camera, but during the last year I need a camera with a better result at low light. All the time I’m looking for a DSLR, but I’m just a hobby photographer and so the form factor is at the end more important then the possibilities. Today I receive my second camera : Powershot S95 with HD video and (again) RAW images…
Good that you have exposed the Powershot S2 for last 5 years, So how many in total snaps do you have taken out of it?
Congrates for the Powershot S95.
The counter is near 10.000
Hi Alex,
My camera has just died on me too. It was a Sony Cyber-shot DSC W300 a great little camera with a Carl Zeiss branded lens. I am planning to buy a Sony NEX-5 (still small) which seems to be able to take great pictures in dim light.
You can see them on my blog about the Dordogne in France.
Just to say too, that I have installed your NextGEN Gallery plugin and that I am going to try to use it on the following site which is using Thesis for WordPress: http://headtotoefashionart.com/
Hope it works…
Take care and thanks for the plugin, W
I’m still using my S2 IS with excellent results. Also using a Panasonic Lumix FZ-28 with great results but my wife has claimed it so I never get to see it.
Yeah it’s still a very good camera , no doubt. But don’t use it a ISO 100 or more…
good choice, i carry my S90 everywhere. I have a canon 5Dii but that is for special occasions, as it’s too heavy for everyday use.
