Why do I need iOS 4.3 for this App? I have an iPhone 3G and unfortunately I can’t install iOS 4.3 on it. 😦

  2. Morten says:

    Christian,

I’ll see if I can change that for the next update. There should be no reason why it shouldn’t work with 4.2

  3. Rico says:

    Hello,
I’ve the same problem like Christian. When do you plan your next update from the next gen app?

  4. Mark says:

Is this going to be available for Android?

  5. alex.rabe says:

@Mark It’s up to the Android community 🙂

  6. David says:

Alex, I hear you’re a rich media genius who has created all sorts of plugins. I’m looking for someone with extensive rich media and sales experience to possibly head up a division in a rich media company.

    Interested?

Anything in the pipeline for Androids?

  8. Jason says:

    Hey!

It’s really cool to see an app for the NextGEN gallery! Thanks for taking the time to do this.

And I would be uploading pictures like crazy right now if it weren’t for the fact that when I try to add a blog I get the following message:

“Error: -32601 server error. requested method ngg.installed does not exist.”

I have NextGEN Gallery 1.7.4 installed on my site.

Any ideas why I’m getting this?

    Thanks so much!

  9. Jason says:

    Thanks for the reply.

XML is enabled. Unfortunately that’s not the problem.

Has anyone else experienced the “Error: -32601” problem?

  10. jorgen says:

Yep, same error on the app while trying to connect to my blog with the updated and xml rpc enabled…Back to the drawing board?

Is there coming a release for android phones??
Alot of people are using nextgen gallery and would love to have the ability to upload pictures from there android phones.
If you can support iPhones why not android Phones?

    Keep up the good work.

  12. Hiroshi says:

    I can’t upload images.

    I’ve created an empty gallery.
I connect with my wordpress blog and I se the list of the gallery.
I open the empty gallery, but when i try to upload a photo I get the message “The request timed out”.
    I’ve tried several times.

  13. Adam Epp says:

The app looks and works great! Any chance you can or will be adding the “move to…” function to the app just like in the plugin? That would be the most important feature to use for our website.

I’d be willing to talk to you about a cost on adding it…let me know, thanks for all your work on the plugin and app!

  14. Scotty says:

@ Hioshi… I have the same problem. It shows the status bar of my image uploading and then when it switches the status on the upload bar to “Finishing upload…” it hangs and nothing is uploaded… I checked the directories on the server etc… nothing there.

Alex, I’m another one looking for an Android app that does the same. Have you heard anyone working on one?

I love your gallery and my website looks great because of it. Now with my Android phone, uploading pics directly to the gallery would be phenomenal.

    Thanks.

  16. I use the NextGEN plugin on the WP blogs all the time and think its great, so finding an iPhone app was a surprise. I thought it could same me a lot of time by uploading pics from my phone to my web sites. I use the WP iPhone app with no issues. After installing this app, I couldn’t get it to connect to any of my blogs. On the WP app I just type the url, username and pw. I don’t have to use the url/wordpress. In this app, I type url/wordpress and sometimes it adds the blog. But most times not. If it does, when I try to click on it in the list, I get a 404 error and it doesn’t connect. User name and PW are correct. When I try to connect with the support link, it just flickers “connecting” and never does. I;m using 1.7.4 on the latest version of WP. Anyone else tried with app with any luck? Love to hear from you.

  17. I’ve been working on some similar functionality for Android. It works a little different, so you’ll need wp-nexgenmanager pluginen from WordPress.org. A beta of the app is available in Android marked, NggManager 🙂

  18. Thanks a lot for the apps.
The same for me (with XML-RPC active and Nextgen 1.7.4) I get an error (see screenshot here

  19. Peter Marshall says:

I’m having the same problem as some others not being able to connect to my blog. I’m getting the 404 error. I have tried many times and know I’m not typing it wrong. I love the NextGen galleries and would really like to be able to upload and manage from my iPad.

  20. Pea says:

This is great! The app worked perfectly for me! Most of my gallery images are taken on my iPhone, so this is amazingly convenient.

    Thanks!!

  21. Jenny says:

This works just great. Thank you.

Would you consider being able to choose / tick multiple photos when adding them to the app (rather than selecting one, waiting for it to be added, then the next)?

Also an ability to include tags.

    Thank you

  22. Ry says:

Thanks for the app. When using the app from my iPhone/iPad I noticed you can only create galleries with the “camera roll” photos and not any imported photos. Any fix for this?

  23. Evan says:

I’m also getting same error where the photos just never get passed the “finishing upload” stage. Anyone have a fix for this?

  24. Toby says:

    Hi!

I’ve got the same problem here that Evan and others outlined. After uploading, the progress bar being complete, I get the message “Finishing upload” and nothing happens. I suspected WP Total Cache in the first place, but this does not seem to be the problem. Any ideas?

    Toby

  25. Steve says:

No matter what I do, I keep getting a “The operation couldn’t be completed. (HTTP error 403)” when trying to log into my blog via the iphone app. I have tried changing all the files to 755 but that didn’t help. Any suggestions?

  26. beatus says:

Seems that the author is not willing to help anymore. Even his website is not longer available. Got the “Finishing Upload” and nothing happens error too.
